I had never seen this before, so it was a new one on me. Let me know if you have and have possibly grown one.

Did you find a memory stick inside addressed to HRC ?
oh man, you need to peel the individual slices out of that membrane thing, that membrane is very thick, hard to chew and doesnt taste very good. Try to peel it off a slice and taste it like that, you will be blown. One of my very favourite winter fruits.
if you want juice try an ugli fruit, its a cross between an orange and a grapefruit
I have never seen that fruit before. I looked like a large Papaya until you opened it. Thanks for sharing your new discovery, Adam.
I have learned something else Adam… thanks for sharing. Did a google search to get more data. Interesting find
Cheers
Harold
Hi Adam, very common here in France, normally sold next to the grapefruit
Thanks for sharing a Pomelo with us. I had no idea what it was. Did it smell like a grapefruit as well? I'll have to look for them at my supermarket. Have a great week! Catherine
Hello Adam
My son has just informed me that grapefruit is a combination of an orange and a pomelo.
There was no such thing originally as a grapefruit.
That axplains your variou tastes that you experienced.
Reg Everit
I was thinking it looked like a grapefruit!!!!
Any day in which you learn something, cannot be considered a complete waste:)) That was entertaining my friend, and seems I'd like it, grapefruit gives me pucker mouth, lol! Have a great week man, looking forward to your next adventure:)
I've seen these before. Adam, you are a braver man than I Gungadin. Since I detest grapefruit I would never have bought one of these. I think one of these would have filled my kitchen compost bin with its pith! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Love all the comments. Stay safe.
I liked the way you took the pith
From the thumbnail I thought it was a giant variety of onion …… bug then didn't recall you growing any giants lol
After you started peeling it I was expecting one of those face huggers out of Aliens to leap out.
Good day to you Adam, great taste test and review of this strange egg shaped fruit
Looks like the egg from alien. Never tried one. Interesting stuff. 😉
Hi Adam
Thanks for the taste test. I am thinking of making some pomelo marmalade this year. I have already made some lemon and some lime marmalades and am waiting for seville oranges to show up in the stores.
Cheers Dave
I love pomelos. I tend to cut them across the “equator” and eat them like a grapefruit.
Glad I didn't buy one of these as I'm not a fan of grapefruit.
Hi Adam, never seen one new to me. I did shudder when I saw the plastic covering with that thick skin is it really necessary? and I did salivate when you started to eat it. I do enjoy the sharp kick of a Grapefruit, the sharper the better. I would have to taste one prior to purchase but hey thanks for sharing the experience take care, Mike.
Hey! I recently bought some Red Baron Onion Sets, and I have a few questions:
1: Can I keep them in a medium size garden pot?
2: How big will they be full growth?
3: Where do I leave them
Pomelo! One of my favourite fruits. One of the original citrus fruits! Good job
A sprinkle of salt, a bit of crushed garlic, coriander lovely!!!
Thanks for sharing, thought it was an obese lemon until you told your viewers what is was. Mmm £1.50 though, seems the retailer was taking the Pith.
I like Mango much better.
I love pomelo. They are even nicer in Thailand on the beach. But I buy them when I can here in sweden. U only eat the "fruit meat" and not as an orange. It is hard to peel and it takes time to peel a hole one. U did a good job for being u first time. Nice vid.
