  1. I bet you have the same neck tension I have. It was suggested to me to stretch the area by pulling your chin in towards yor neck while laying on a pillow or against the wall.

  2. I LOVE walking around on your farm with you! (virtually!) I feel like I'm there, loving your creativity, your critters, adorable kids, talented Miah. etc! Thanx so much for sharing your life with me <3

  3. It is wonderful to see so many people wanting to be more self reliant! We believe that self sufficiency is the key to ultimate freedom- and I love the feeling of eating something you've grown! We can't wait to begin also full time homesteading when we move to Maine this spring!!! You've given us soooo many ideas Jess!!! THANK YOU!!

  4. Given the shortages we've faced I decided to get all my seeds as they became available regardless of season. We just moved into our new home in November 2019, so I'm still building my raised beds and setting up my garden, which means I'd usually wait until I got it built and had a better plan of what I was gonna grow, but given how hard it was to get anything this last summer I figured I'd wait list what I wanted and buy them as they became available. I've probably purchased more varieties than I can grow this year as I don't know how many of my beds I'll be able to put in, but I figured better to buy them now vs wait until Jan/Feb and then not get to grow what I wanted. Tomatoes are the thing I've been trying to grow for a decade, so I got all the varieties I wanted and we will see how many I can grow. Hopefully this year I can can the tomatoes I grow vs ones I buy at the market.

  5. There is a method to helping your neck muscles using a towel method that weight lifters use. It works like a charm. You roll up a towel, wrap it around your neck and pull in the opposite direction your facing, kind of like pully then you lay on the bed and let your head lean off the edge this helps stretch the neck muscles.

  6. I think that after things get back to normal that most the new entries to the growing game will fall back away. We're already seeing this with things like flour dropping back to earlier demand as people switch back to buying instead of baking bread. It will probably be another year of this demand at a bit lower level than this year and then the year after that it will drop to normal pre-covid levels. Out of every hundred people that began gardening and canning we'll be lucky to hold on to two or three of them.

  7. I am in love with your sweater!! I can just imagine how warm and fuzzy it would be to wear! And it looks so lovely on you!!
Thank you for all of your videos! I appreciate you and your family's willingness to share your lives with all of us! God bless you all during this wonderful Christmas season! (I'm a little late watching videos! 🙂 )

  8. We had a lot of success in our Pandemic spring garden. It was our first garden in 15 years. For the very first time in our zone 7 lives, we planted a fall garden.. It is now December 14, and we have a great bunch of broccoli that is still growing! Every night we cover the garden with huge tarps. Our lettuce and turnip greens are beautiful. The beets are growing S L O W, but looking healthy. Next year, we are building a high tunnel. Thank you so much for your inspiration Jess! <3

  9. I knew a northerner with an entire fall/winter wardrobe of VIVID colors. It was always exciting seeing her, even in Florida, when it wasn't that grey or brown during those months. Might help your eyes during editing. 😉
I love the colors and shades of fall or winter, but I grew up with a huge lack of winter.
