I agree with you about the linoleum, it definitely makes easier. For the cleaning I sometimes use a square shovel to scrape up what's stuck on the floor if I've neglected the chicken coop. If I am consistent in my cleaning I can use the plastic shovel; but you know, life is busy on the farm.

We use a long-handle metal ice scraper from Rural King, we had it for a concrete patio, love it for coop. Looks just like your tool.

Patara, Thanks for sharing. Love seeing your animals. I would love to have animals again but I have a lot to do already, twin boys age 7, my mom who lives with us age 85 with dementia, homeschooling, working remotely full time and taking care of the house.

We have one of those scrapers and that's exactly what we use it for – cleaning the chicken coop! It's useful for lots of other things too. We use also use it for broomsticking our rabbits.
I didn’t recognize what that tool you were using in the beginning was exactly until you started scrapping… OK!
I used one of those tile scrapers to remove the tile from my basement floor. It worked fine on most of the tiles, but there are always stubborn ones that had to be chipped off with a brick hammer. works fine on dry wall too.

Hi Patara: If you have not done it yet, take an old window planter about 36 inches long by 8 to 10 inches long and fill it with construction sand and old used motor oil to almost saturate the sand. All my digging and scraping tools get pushed into it every few weeks and it keeps the clean and RUST-FREE. It will never go bad. It sits in the corner of my shed.
I never thought of a tile scraper! I love how it fits perfectly between the boards in the walls! I've spent hours with a regular shovel trying to clean that out.
