I have a similar grow light. And boy does it put out a lot of heat!
Hi Mark, I've been using the LED grow lights for 3 growing seasons and I am very pleased with the overall results. I still have 2 of the tubed grow lights bc they are already paid for..thankyou for sharing your videos. Looking forward to future videos. God bless.
Thank you Mark! Love your information and always ex ited to see a new video. Catherine
I love your videos and all the work you do with soil and have alot of thorts how one could do it better but as you will know it takes alot of time I also now you have to live from your farm and respect that !
but I can not see that you can call this organic but will be looking forewards to your next vid
You should have links to the lights!
what do you use the keep gnats down
Psst… Avoid using expression "grow r**m! Prying bots will report you. Even though you are "legal" the man will BANG on/in your door at 2:00 AM!
Great info and I love the 8 bulbs. Question: another channel uses straight up vermiculite to start up all his seedlings and not growing mix. In a couple of weeks there are some that I need to start and now I'm getting confused lol
I recently posted a video of my growroom with some serious lights because I live in a very cold climate and need to start plants indoors.
I am curious what you think of soil blocks. Thanks much!
Hi Mark. What are your thoughts on using a fan? I've read that the fan will help strengthen the seedlings and/or help with gnats? Any truth to this? Do you use a fan?
I’m sure you already have good results with this, however I keep my lights no more than 2 inches above the tops of the plants. The fluorescent lights are a great source, and way cheaper than the LED, etc. I have just found that the closer I get the better, not nearly as leggy. Having said this, I only have 4 lights per setup, yours are 8, so I’m assuming you don’t need to keep them as close. Thanks again for sharing this.
I have tried a bunch of different lights and for seedlings the cheaper the better! T8 shop lights can be set at 2-4 inches above the plants. You can purchase these at Walmart for only 15 dollars each and carry 2 bulbs. If you use two or three of them you can have perfect plants every time! This set up will cover the same amount of space too! Good luck and “get em grown!”
how or do you harden them off for going outside?
Mark, do you use heating mats to grow your seeds?
Also, do you use plastic dome covers that come with the cell trays?
Always look forward to seeing your videos in my stream. Thanks
Cool video. Checkout my latest for my grow light setup. I do plan to setup a cold frame soon to transition some plants.

Those lights look pretty nice! I may upgrade mine someday.
Thanks for sharing your setup, very nice. Have you direct sowed any of your crops outside yet? if so, which ones? Thanks again.
Hi Mark, this question may be a bit off topic, but I've been meaning to ask you this for some time. Since you and I both oppose synthetic chemicals on our food and soil, what would you recommend for maintaining a nice looking home lawn? I'm not looking to win any prizes for best lawn, but I do want nice, full growth for my kids to play on without using any synthetics. Thank you for your time.
