Of all your videos I love the ones about your livestock the best. I'm poor, but, your livestock videos enrich me. Keep it up Patera and invest in some safety glasses. Gotta protect your eyes.
As we age we don't heal as well. My momma got splattered in her eye with grease cookin' bacon for daddy and it hasn't healed yet and it's been months and months almost a year. I wear safety glasses cooking now; it's the unexpected that gets ya'.
Lose an eye and it seriously effects your walking, balance and judging distance. Careful y'all.
Lord how mercy! You've got me skeared of them hens! I was already afraid of cows and horses, though my Daddy had them when I was growing up. For some reason they always give me the "evil" eye! Yep, I would run!
I love seeing your hens. An up-date to my daughters flock. She has the most handsome rooster. Sha has others but will probably keep one to protect the girls. Her girls should be laying soon. Can't wait for the grandkids to see.
Beautiful Zinnias, my favorite flower.
the ball cap is almost as good as safety glasses & looks a whole lot more appropriate 🙂
a rule in shop classes is no jewelry & no loose clothing. I think those are good rules for farm chores too. a ball cap & long sleeves would have saved my face & arms when I was catching turkeys. live & learn, or better…listen & learn 🙂 thanks.
What a spectacular sunrise. Gorgeous!
I got pecked in the eye… my chicken was perched on my shoulder hanging out. She reached through the opening between my glasses and my eye and nailed me good. Took a few days to heal… lucky it wasnt worse… they are nimble and you are right… they LOVE eyes
You always give good information. Thank you
My mother would vote for a full suit of armor when visiting a coop. She has BIG fear.
Thank you Patara, this is real and love that you talk about it. I've seen many battle wounds on my Grandma's hand/arms from raisin' chickens. It's no joke.
yep, I've had baby chicks peck at each other's eyes. I stopped wearing shorts to the barn because I have a mole on my leg and they love to see if it's a bug… >.> and stopped wearing my wedding ring because they thought it was something to eat as well.
Beautiful speckled bird
Beautiful video as always.
I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT GOGGLES.
Your video camera takes awesome pictures. Please let us know what you use. Also looking for a camera that takes close ups if you have any ideas that would be great. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
This happened to my son… closer to the eyebrow. Definitely a learning lesson for him and his sister.
Wonderful ! Thank you. Blessing's, Linda
Our Plymouth barred rock hen pecked my eye
Not long ago. Knocked my contact lens right out! Yes this can happen! Great video!
Baaaahwaaaaauk! Got chickens? Take care you guys.
