Gabriel is very cool . Nice to see you guys working together.
Having known how to cut potatoes for 60+ years you still made it interesting. Good teacher! Gabriel is lucky to be learning this skill in childhood. NU-NA, my favorite food.
Great tutorial about seed potatoes. For those of us just starting to grow our own food, you're very good at explaining the process. Best of luck with your planting. Be well.
I have NEVER gardened but now know I need to. I was just at the store yesterday looking for seeds to plant vegetables wondering why there weren't any packets for potatoes. Thanks to this video, now I knwo why. Thank you!
You have a cool young man there.
Others said it, I agree… Gabriel you remind me so much of your dad! I miss my kids living at home and teaching them things. Once in a while they reward me with a phone call to ask a question. LOL.
What you're teaching them is so invaluable for the rest of their lives. I see both of you in Gabriel. 🙂
I love when you do videos with your family. Gabriel definitely has your facial features but his Daddy's facial expressions.
I lerned along with your son! Thank you for your video and I love the way you are teaching your son.
Did I miss your new wood stove? Oh don't tell me I missed your new wood stove. Gabe is a awesome son he will make you a proud mama. God bless Shalom
Your passing on skills you were taught to Gabriel and one day so will he! That's why and how these skills keep working generation to generation… Such a wonderful and powerful thing! I also learned a new thing today the word NU-NA for potato in Cherokee, Thank you!
Love seeing your son learning from you
That african violet reminds me of my grandmother. She had beautiful violets always on a blanket chest that I got when she passed. I have zero luck growing them…☹
Good video most of our potatoes r almost done in s tx have sweet potato slips going also
That’s nice when we can teach our kids something they can take with th.
Nice video, I was wondering how you figure out which potatoes to plant? I know russets are for baking, but the others kind of make wonder which is better for other applications? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Blessings ❣️❣️
When I watch one of these videos, the memories just flood over me! Nowadays, young people have no time for such things as growing their own FOOD! These are precious skills, passed down through each generation. One day Gabriel will teach his children and grandchildren! As it should be. Love the Cherokee tater name! Might put that on my tater patch!
I remember my Mother teaching me to cut the potatoes and letting them heal over. It's work but SO worth it! GOD bless
Very nice.
Awesome info. You answered my question
Can you plant potatoes from the store when they sprout before you can use them?
Good stuff!
Great lesson
