Curtis, how much do you sell your microgreens for?
You've got some of your shoots stacked directly on top of each other. What's going on there?
When you spoke about not knowing the timing of your crops due to the cold, I guess it was good not to have a contract with customers. Do you have to call those customers up and tell them about the delay in harvest due to the cold, or do you just wait till they call and say, "sorry they're not ready yet"?
Chocolate cherry is a great cherry too. Looks a lot like black cherry and very prolific in the garden. Tastes like an heirloom tomato with a bit of sweetness. Everyone thinks they're pretty great. But I don't know what you're market is. Some people are funny about dark colored tomatoes. I think I told you about the Juliet hybrid. They are very sweet, an elongated cherry, very prolific (tons of fruit) and hold up to diseases well too. They are the only cherry that seem to handle the blight which I have in my yard.
Experiment with germinating in wet pepper towel and plastic bag. At least for tomatoes that take so long to start. Cuts the time in more than half. And same with peppers, much much faster start. See if it's applicable to u.
All my tomato seeds have germinated now and are almost ready to remove the lid 😛
Hi Curtis, maybe do a VLOG session on the pros & cons of low poly tunnel vs. caterpillar tunnels in Winter specifically?
Love your videos Curtis. I know you just made a video about laws and not letting that stop one from farming. I was curious, did you need CFIA to come in to inspect your facilities for microgreens? I've been getting mixed messages on this topic.
Most seedlings just need red and blue light I think, rather than full spectrum 🙂
Wonderful. Learning from you on Permaculture Voices on my 1 hr commute to work. Thanks so much.
I also ordered my 2017 tomato seeds from West Coast Seeds but I curiously i didn't see Sweet Millions (one of my favourites). Instead, I ordered them from Stokes. Maybe I'll look again.
Is there not Enough money for growing tomatoes allyear long?will it cost to much to heat or is there no demand ?
whats the temprature we need in side
Curtis what non-cherry tomato varieties do you recommend? Keep you the great work I love what you're doing!
I ordered sweet million this year also! The pictures/videos I saw had awesome yields.
Sweet baby girl! 😀

Just got your book in the mail. Already ordered seeds from Johnny's Seeds. Son and I are about to get to work on the land. Almost made it through all your videos this week. Thank you sir. Hope to catch you at one of your seminar/ workshop.
I noticed you said that you couldn't get the seeds for the sweet baby girls but in an earlier video you said that you had three generations of oxhearts. My question is do not Harvest a certain amount of fruit for the purposes of retaining seeds and genetics
When plating small seeds (tomatoes, etc) in large flats do you just plant 1 seed per cell since you're planting 128? Specifically as compared to a home gardener who may sow multiple seeds per cell to increase germination success since we are planting fewer plants.
led lights will be better and cheaper
I HAVE GREAT NEWS FOR YOU!! I am, right this minute, making my seed order for this year, while listening to your vids in the background. I am on the TerraEdibles website, they have OXHEART TOMATOES!! And they are pointed on the end! The vid I watched before this one, you it as one of your favourites, but you don't know where to get the seeds anymore. http://www.terraedibles.ca, Canadian site, out of Belleville ON
Black Cherry is currently my favourite heirloom cherry tomato for flavour

Hail to those who dare
Curtis, what did you do before you had this heated nursery when it comes to germinating tomatoes? I ask because it's winter here and I am having trouble with my radish shoots that every now and then don't grow right because it gets a bit too cold for them. If I am having a bit of trouble with the microgreens, how can I expect tomatoes to germinate indoors? All of this is growing inside my home. We obviously keep it as warm as we can without running a high utility bill. Look forward to hearing from you.
Hey Curtis, did you ever try out the IMP seeder plate?
Curious what kind of heater are you using in the high tunnel.
hi, what size/lenght do you look for in your salads before you cut the re-growth? thanks
I fail at tomatoes every year. I suspect its because i don't trim aggressively. all leaf growth and no tomato production.
I've been growing sweet million. How much do you charge for them at the farmers market?
If I was growing indoors. And didn't have sunlight . Would those t-8's be good enough for light?
