If the crocus are blooming then we should have seeds in the ground of the farm – and instead we have an entire farm to prep, and so much work to do! We are stressing out, because if we don’t get this farm organized, then we won’t have anything to harvest this spring, and if we don’t have anything to harvest, then we aren’t going to make any money. Join us as we get caught up on farm tasks, receive our mail order lisianthus, use our Jang seeder to plant 10 farm beds, mess up tomato seedlings, and fill a greenhouse.

Money and time. They are always the downfall. It’s always a balancing act. I don’t think it’s your focus at all. you can only do so much.
What made you get so far behind?
Where did you source the Lisiathus plants?
Where did you source the Green overalls ?
Who else's jaw was on the floor? Can't believe you did all that work with no help. You slay. God bless you and your family. You deserve every good thing coming your way.
If the stems are too leggy to be planted deep. U can make a J shape to have the stems all buried and just have the first true leaves above soil. I actually start all my tomatoes in 200 cell trays. And I don't care I'd they get root bound to save room. When I transplant them deep with j shape. Thr stem produces roots and makes a strong plant
You got this! Love the little ones helping. Also enjoyed seeing the area where you live. Beautiful scenery! My lissie plugs will be here shortly..beds not ready yet. Just think how much you've already accomplished!
Good to see your progress and seeing you sharing your time and interests with the children! :} Well done! :}
It was kind of ironic that the song lyrics at 2:00 say "we've got time on our side" haha
That was a gorgeous time lapse of the mountains. I've never heard about who crocuses bloom you can plant cold hardy seeds. Learn something new.
Great video!! Looking forward to many more. Thank you
"And our goal here is to make more than ZERO dollars!" hahah girl I feel that! That had me LOL'ing fa'realz!
Ian, you need some headlights for your rototiller! LOL 😉 Nice to see the FAMILY in Red Roof Family Farm. The kids look like great helpers. Wishing you a wonderful growing season!
Once again, brilliant filmmaking alongside tireless farming. You're doing it young family! So much to be proud of. Skills in planting and in generating excellent video clips of your labour. Thank you for taking the time to create such thoughtful content.
Wow!!!! Amazing work! Beautiful land ❤️
I was holding my breath while you were opening the first box. Green! It's all good! My absolute favorite time in any given season is when everything is freshly planted. Then I can watch it all grow! Now I get to watch all your stuff grow! Great video!
I always meltdown on April 1st and May 15. When growing, you can’t really do much until it’s time and then 70 hours of work suddenly needs to be squeezed into one day. I always get overwhelmed and defeated even though I know it will pass. You’re a great farmer!
Oh yes, I completely understand the cascade effect of choosing what goes under lights and for how long before they get dumped outside, under the insect netting for hardening off!! We don’t need a greenhouse, but do need a shade house, and at the start of year two is still not looking like a possible achievement! Could you please elaborate on the Dianthus / Sweet William? I am buying through Ball, but everything I know about them is they are Bi-annuals… and I am after the annual variety? Would the annual version possibly be Dianthus barbatus x D. chinensis?? I’m very confused regarding the difference?
Thank you so much for documenting your failures… it makes the rest of us feel “normal”
I’m starting Snaps and Zinnia in the wet season so I can get an early start on the season, and so far dumped 10 trays of Zinnia and 2 of Snaps due to leggy growth (heat & humidity)… So, absolutely feeling your pain!!
We have success with foliage and fillers currently, but NO focal!! Ouch.
I’m new. How are you planting flower seeds before last frost date?
Your children are cute and helpful!
The next time your roots are tangled up , you can try dunking the roots in a bucket of water and gently shaking them loose. I don’t know if this is ok for the plants but mine have all faired well whenever I needed to do this.
