I live in McMinnville Oregon so not far from you as the crow flies and I struggle like all other PNW folks with slugs. I got the green stalk planters and even stuck some copper tape on the roller base thinking my strawberries and lettuce will be fine…NOPE, first strawberry of the year I plucked and noticed it was soft on one side, NOPE, it was a slug!!! I was so disappointed. How the heck did that slug know about that one ripe strawberry all the way at the top?Guess I’ll have to use the sluggo on the patio. Those slugs are the worst pest for us! Your garden is looking awesome!

It's not too late for corn. I'm in zone 5 – we don't plant anything until after Memorial Day, so this weekend will be a busy one. Most of what I plant will be from seed. We have a much shorter growing season than you do and I still get corn.

Your garden is doing so good! I love watching your videos! This year we had to cut back on the garden, we are having some hardscaping done. Next year I will be able to do my whole garden again including the green stalks. I have 3 of those but they had to be moved this year. So this year I basically have a salad garden which I’m looking forward to!

First one multi loved from center coming up as a radish, don’t think it is same type as you were pointing out earlier. 2nd one is coming up as field mustard. Don’t know if that helps, good luck!

I am so glad your green stalk is working for you but mine was a total waste of $. It dries out so quickly and everything dies. I had it in my sun room and then moved it outside. It dries out in both places even with my twice a day watering even though I changed the soil and added vermiculite. We live in opposite zones, and I wish you wonderful success gardening this year.
Your plant may be lamb's quarters (wild spinach).
I just finished my first year doing lots of various vegetables.
I am also trying so many types of soils and pots. I rent so can’t do raised or in ground beds. So I am doing the best I can. I have grown tomatoes lots and also snow peas and green beans. As well as herbs and shallots and lettuce before but I’m trying to get better.
My pumpkins all rotted due to the flooding we have had this year. So between rain and rats and mice I struggled a lot.
However I still managed to get a summer of lettuce and spinach and chives and shallots do super excited anyway
