What variety of grapes Curtis? Jupiter? Also, I see spearmint or mint on your garden plan..awesome. Always loved mint tea and mint iced tea, its also big with the Moroccan community which has heavily influenced my moms culture of Southern Spain, hence by way of heritage I love mint. Nice to finally see you growing some or about to. By the way, no need to apologize about your son, a ton of my videos unfortunately have my son crying in the background, in fact, he is crying in the background right now and he is 23 months…when does it stop?! Hey Curtis. I wanted to pass on my experience to you when it comes to your two choices of apple trees; Fuji and Honeycrisp. The honeycrisp pollen is sterile and thus is not self fertile. Now the Fuji is said to be a good pollinator for the Honeycrisp, which is why I got one like you did. However in my zone 8, the two apple trees do not bloom at the same time thus making the Fuji useless as a good pollinator for my honeycrisp. I have had these two apple trees for about 5 years now and I have watch each year as they still bloom at different times. So then I went out and bought other varieties of apple trees that are said to be good pollinators for my Honeycrisp. Each time I got a little bit closer to finding another apple tree that blooms at the same time as the Honeycrisp. I finally am starting to get honeycrisp apples. I find that the granny smith helps some, Johnathon, and now I put in last year a golden Delicious apple tree. All of this in order to get honeycrisp apples. So if I can help you save some time, you might want to consider a granny-smith and a golden delicious apple trees for your honecrisp. One last thought. It might be possible that because your in a different growing zone, that maybe your trees will blossom at the same time, where as in my zone they do not. Interesting to see if that happens. I hope to see a video showing your apple trees in bloom to see if they do blossom at the same time or not. I hope things go well for you. Hey Curtis, how do you design plots around powerlines? Have you ever had an issue with a digging fork or broadfork? My powerline goes directly across my yard diagonally.
