VIDEO: GGC – 15 – We finally reached Newfoundland and Labrador!

Part 12 of our road trip across Northern Quebec and Eastern Canada. We finally finish our drive up route 389 from Baie-Comeau to Labrador City, and in doing so, cross another province off our list: Newfoundland and Labrador! Along the way, we also saw a huge Iron Ore Mine in Fermont, Quebec.

  1. I have to agree that people form Labrador are really nice. Just go to the Canadian tire or the Walmart, are everybody will say hello or ask if we need help ! Lab (like they called it) is a big village and beside gold or skiing, there no much to do outside…Ok, fishing and hunting are also quite popular. Thanks for your videos, there are fun to watch !

  2. I'm from Lab city,I really enjoyed this video, you guys should come back for another visit to our nice small town:)We also have tons of beautiful hiking and walking areas you guys would love!!!

  3. I plan on coming from Quebec City to Labrador City. Do I need to worry about accommodations and availability of gas stations traveling along the remote parts of Quebec?

  4. I hope to make this trip as a bucket list item.
Is any road between Quebec and Labrador paved ? Thought I read somewhere that paving was due to complete in 2020.

  5. This is really odd for me. I was watching some of your agriculture videos and stumbled on your route 389 drive (I've probably driven that road a dozen times so it picked my interest). I'm from southern Quebec, but was actually working fly-in/fly-out in Labrador City during the winter and summer of 2015. I still occasionally go do some work for some of the iron mines in the region. Too bad you missed the wall in Fermont, its probably one of the more impressive land marks in the area.
