Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

new subs here ..luv your videos very informative ..thumbs up !
Great presentation!
Thank you again for this Video. Das ist "Kohl" (Weißkohl – white cabbage) 😉 It is used to produce "Weinsauerkraut" (wine sour cabbage – literally translated). It is nice, that you use german words <3 it got me rightaway! xD hehehe
need to mention about the red roots: dont eat them too much (like every day). They contain a toxic (not thaaat dangerous) which seems to be connected with influencing the affection of calcium in a negative way.
great list! thank you sir!
my nanny said eat enough carrots and you'll be able to see in the dark
not a myth bud just have to eat ALOT MORE
Sexy when you get down there and hold that head in your hand like that
SUBSCRIBE.
lol
I was hooked at growness
I agree with your list. However, I'd add garlic to that list.
I love your list !
Why are the Carrots so short
Love your enthusiasm, and the productivity of your raised beds. My only quibble with your list is with onions – not that they don't deserve to be there, but because we never seem to be able to get a good crop. I might try your suggestion to go for other types of allium
Mark you seem to have an excellent personality our family loves to watch your video's we have learned so much. Thank you for taking your time to upload these awesome video's
Peppers!
Great video.
You nailed it. Very good!
Love your sense of humor! Good day from California!! I find squash are easier to grow in my climate, but if I had your wonderful garden beds, I might be able to grow more things. Thank you for your efforts, you are providing a great service.
Love the channel and videos cuz im learning a ton of stuff i didnt know. Seems criminal that i can only like videos once because id give it 10 thumbs up if i could
plus artickokes and mushrooms
I totally agrees with your choice
Hi I'm from Jamaica I love your video I wish I could plant all these vegetable and grow in pots but I have a problem with slugs and snails and all those kind of insects so I have to buy from the market pick up
This was a wonderful video. I would include Zucchini and Yellow Squash, both relatively easy to grow and full of nutrients; You can also make so many awesome dishes with them and potatoes together.
Great Video. Thank you fpr sharing. I have plant them all except for cabbage. I will try it next year. Also increase my bean crop. Nothing like your own homegrown veggies. Cheers.
I would also add garlic to this list.
If I tell you that am blessed, you will see I don’t have stress just because of Dr. Ogudugu on YouTube. His herpes treatment healed me just after using his raw herbs supplements.
100 %agreed
Agree 100%
Lovin' the humour!
