VIDEO: Ms. Homestead Lady's Cabin In The Woods~

A day with the best pioneering lady in all of Tennessee! She and her family have been homesteading for over 30 years. Anytime I have questions or need direction, this is who I call! We love her and her family! Thank you, MHL, for another wonderful day on your homestead!

  1. What a cool friend to have!Do they live completely off grid? I was impressed at how beautiful and healthy looking her animals are.Tell her thank you for letting you share her with us!

  2. Great stuff. The strands are called Gluten and well developed gluten is great bread! We use wild raspberry yeast and some from our neighbors concord grape vines for our bread exclusively. Our sponge takes a few hours to rise before we can grind and make bread, just like off grid laundry day….gotta get creative!

  3. Was wondering if you'd ask around as I'm looking for a natural pain reliever. With all the talk these days about gut health, I'm reluctant to take aspirin or Advil. This remedy could be internal like a tea or such… Or external, like a liniment or cream? Appreciate any help. xoxo from Arizona.

  4. When you panned past the books she has I looked some of them up, and found some good stuff! Ebay has a lot of bookstores that sell thrifted books for super cheap, I went on there and was able to find tons of good homesteading books for just dollars.
