This is my first ever avocado stone I have planted, please comment and give advice and tips towards it if I have done anything wrong, when I’m fully corrected I’m hoping to do a video og the method.

The seed cracks because the roots are growing inside and then it will eventually come down. Removing the skin also lessens the water from being contaminated or turn brown. Nice going!
so far so good much of gardening is a waiting game look forward to seeing an update on everything you care to share ๐ and thank you for reminding me I should change the water in my avocado ๐ enjoy what's left to the weekend thanks for sharing.
Oh…is that what I've been doing wrong….I have planted many avocado stones in soil over the years when I should have be putting it in water….in soil mine always rot…!
@suerowe53 Oh dear, I hope you will try and put them in water soon. Good luck when you do!
@HuwsNursery I will put it on my shopping list for tomorrow and as soon as I plant it I will let you know! We can then compare how our avocado's are doing!
You may have better luck getting the seed to root by putting it, as you have it prepared, into a warm dark closet for a couple of weeks. They like it warm and dark to root best. Then, into the sun.
@suerowe53 Okay
@timbinman I've just donesome more reading and several sites have suggested it so i'll try it out, I will be planting more avocados as sonn as I get them from a store! Cheers
It will help if u remove the peel of the avocado pit once it turns soft…. good job.
