Yeah those deer can take out your whole garden in one night if you are not careful.My problem is earwigs and darn old slugs.
I accidentally sliced the top off one of my tomato plants with a scythe. It took about 2 weeks to make a sucker to become the new leader.
I also have allergies, but I switched to almond milk. No more allergies!
What town are you from
Have you ever tried a motion detector sprinkler for the deer? The spray doesn't work here and I'm looking for an alternative.
Luke, sorry about the deer damage but I have to say I know from experience that once the dear have found you garden they will be back until it's decimated. I have found the only thing that keeps them off my garden is a wire fence that is put in at least three feet from any plants because the buggers will eat anything that is close enough to the fence for them to reach. I even had the dear eating my squash through the 1 x 2 holes at the bottom of the fence.

What are the tale tie signs if your watering to much or not enough, my zucchini are getting floppy leaves and all I can figure out, its either three things , compost tea, water to much, or not enough..
Your garden looks great. I live in FL and our soil is well…basically sand so it doesn't hold nutrients. I have a few things in the ground to see how they will do. Good luck with your garden!

you got to try cabage soup.. we (I) added some bacon bits and sea salt and that was it. My husband is not a rabit, hates green food, but he loved the soup..
Do you have aphids on your tomatoes? Because I have them on almost every single plant, I spray them with this organic spray I got, but then they come back, so just wondering if you have that problem.
I know what you mean about not being able to stay outside. Last week, I pulled a neck mussle (REALLY BADLY!), I couldn't move my neck and looked like Quazimoto for about a week. But I still spent about six hours outside every day. Love the garden. ๐

Luke, did you start your Broccoli and Cabbage from seed in your garden or were they started indoors? And if they were started indoors when did you start them? Mine are nowhere near that size???

Luke -when I had deer problems with tomatoes I took soap ( a bar or the scraps you always end up with) and put them in a net onion bag and tied it to the cage. I was thinking if you sprayed with some liquid soap, and water it would help.
Also for aphids I use the soap,water, hot pepper, garlic spray. Or get some ladybugs.
No….( he'd wait until there were tomatoes .)

If you pee around the bed area the deer will smell it and get scared! Go mark your territory!
A master gardener from the minnesota extension office (major deer problems in MN) uses a mixture of cayenne, garlic and about 4-6 eggs mixed in a gallon jug of water. Let it sit outside for 1-2 days to ferment. Strain the mixture then dilute in 4-5 gallons of water and spray on your plants. I also hang human hair from nylon stockings. A local hairdresser gladly gives me the hair.
i get afids on mine here in uk england but i use old soapy water (bath water when im finished) to wash/spray the leaves and it clears them up, hope this helps matey ๐

How many square feet are you allocating to each tomato plant in the raised beds?
I use calcium enriched vegetable food and am still seeing a lot of end blossom rot in my heirloom tomatoes….and they are also starting to split at the top before they start to ripen……any advice from anyone would be very helpful
the local arboretum hangs dial soap close to plants. the deer dont like it.
so I live in Houston, it's very tropical in heat….should i water everyday? every other day? all my romas and cherries seem to be fine ( I have 58 plants) only the heirlooms seem to have issues….I am soo trying to get it right.

If you don't have drip irrigation , then how do you water? By hand? Because if you water by hand, that's a lot of watering!!!! ๐ Happy Holidays!
