I am classing this video as an experiment as I’ve never tried this before but from what I know, most things are right! 2 days later and the cuttings are looking healthy so there should be some roots soon! A thanks to GardenFrugal who inspired me to try this out:

This works I have done it many times
it only works if you got plants to get suckers from though
great instructions now for an update when two weeks from now ? Keep up the good work Huw's
I do it every year I even have a video too, tomatoes root so easy
thanks Huw for another great video to watch, will try this x
Hmmm. Shouldn't, then, we be able to strike cuttings from Cape Gooseberries in the same way? After all, they are just another member of the Solanaceae; and rather tomato-ish too, in a way. Might be fun to try! And quicker than waiting ages for seeds to grow and develop into new plants.
why my cutting always become yellow and die after days put in water ??? I've only succeeded once .
i am new to planting but removing the suckers helps the plant right and then turning it into anther plant is a plus and their is no waste. can some tell me if this is right? thank you in advance
