Update to this years germination. This should be my 3rd rotation but some problems have me still on my first rotation.
Your potting soil look somewhat like mine did last year in my first round starting seeds. I had terrible results and I believe it was the potting soil since I switched to a different (more expensive) one that a nursery recommended and it was 100x better. The colder than average temps by your window could be a suspect too, but I'm betting you'll get different results with the potting soil. I'm finding that the popular brands these days are getting more inconsistent each year unfortunately.

I've never had luck with potting soil myself for anything.
