Second installment of three on the gardens! This time its the compost pile. And I am happy with the progress. I will say it needs to speed up if it ever wants to be called compost by the end of this growing season.

First. LoL
You are awesome bro. Thanks for the videos. Peace!
Was that a rib bone. You got some Hoffa compost going there or what, lol. Peace!
how long do you let your pile sit for ? and is mostly comprised of oak leaves ? wow I think this is the shortest video from you yet 🙂 thanks for sharing
great looking compost that is going to be some good stuff!
Nice compost pile. It would be nice to be able to produce all the compost needed for the garden.
zoey apparantly assisting with the breakdown — too funny 😀
I subscribe to "reaganite71" and he has a great recipe to speed up composting here is his video, it's worth a try to experiment using on your compost pile to speed up the process it's called "drunkin compost" check it out.
You have obviously never turned the compost and found a snake in there Luke. One time is all it takes to keep you from digging into it with your hands. lol
Chuck
I put sticks in my compost because they help keep the compost aerated, so the compost does not turn anaerobic and slimy
Throw some lime on there.
how can i get your trifecta???
More worms really help a lot. I have problems finding a spot where tree roots can't find a way in and take over everything. I might have to build something.
chowceo : I have actually used reaganite71's method. It's been 8 days and it's almost ready. it takes about 10 days. it really does work.
I'm having problems watching ur last few videos, have u been doing something different? I like ur videos, don't wanna b without them.
Try spraying some diluted yogurt, organic vinegar & honey mixture onto the compost every 2 days
use rice water or potato water even whole rice flours.. Throw a tsp of yogurt & honey.. Leave for 2 days sealed. Dilute & drench the compost
shes a beauty
Ferment kitchen food wastes anaerobically with a tsp yogurt & organic vinegar over a week. Stir into the compost & bury. Spray with activated yeasts & raw sugar solution as u mix in weekly out of your kitchen scraps up to 50:50 ratio. After a month, it will be broken down without messing with it
In fact, u can add 10% of this dry leaves/hay/twigs to your kitchen food wastes & ferment together. Just moist everything with diluted yogurt, organic vinegar & raw sugar. Mix well. Just seal up. Leave it for 1 week. After a week, mix in 50% soil or bury 8 inches under ground for at least 2 weeks. U are ready to plant.
I started my compost pile the same way about a year ago. But, I shredded my leafs when adding with grass clippings. Since then, I began to use Bokashi bucket composting to ferment my kitchen food waste. Once the Bokashi bucket is full and has fermented for a few weeks, I bury it in the pile…. Now, my pile has turn into a Worm Tower. I literally have thousands if not millions of worms!!! All of my plants and flowers seem to love it.
