It’s really important to move suckers as they take up too much energy and when producing your own food you want it to go into making healthy plants and flowers instead. Take a look at: https://www.youtube.com/user/GardenFrugal

  1. I'm trying to learn about growing different types of tomatoes… Are you supposed to leave the bush varieties to just grow without pruning and only take the suckers from the tall, single stem varieties?

  2. removing future vines (which you call suckers) is just removing lots of future tomatoes. also additional foliage takes in additional light which means a healthier more robust plant. removing these sun receptors is weakening the plants in reality.

it is best to only remove the bottom limbs which will prevent soil splashing onto the leaves during a rain. growing indoors you do not have that problem but not everyone watching this video and reading the comments has a greenhouse.

  3. WE have to remove suckers from our lives…. it can consume all our energy.. just like the suckers of every plant…. they suck all the life out of you..

  4. Seeing this spiritually. How you removed the sucker shoots- unnecessary excess/something dead is what God does to us. Why do we spend time as people.. putting so much energy into something dead? Doing so, we forget the bigger picture and prevent our fruit from flourishing/growing.
