You're totally INSPIRATIONAL to us good buddy,….most folks here don't have gardens, on account we up here on the central plateau, where rain is intermittent, so with the excuse of saving water and the work associated with your average garden watering(cans or hose), this method's the winner, and what better way to be sustainable if we capture rainwater and use the rainwater to water the wicking bed? Thumbs up Jay, hope ya all have a great Sunday!!
That is definitely something I need to incorporate at my garden in the mountains. It sounds like the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing this idea. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Yes. Mulching the top would definitely be a benefit. I'm sorry to hear that you hurt your back again. I know how that goes. The last it happened to me, I was in the mountains by myself and could barely take two steps. Once you seriously injure your back, the problems keep returning. Hope you recover quickly.

Great video. I will be making some wicking beds soon based on Rob's ibc wicking beds.
