It's spring here in New Jersey, but now I knwo what I'm doing this fall.
Hi great video. I read somewhere that you shouldn't walk on raised beds as it disturbs the micro organisms? If my beds were narrower would that help me not walking on them. Thanks again
Also can you use a green mulch over the top instead of black plastic ?
thanks for the tip
Seems like the black plastic would keep moisture out, making it less inviting to worms. I know it would minimize moisture loss, too, so maybe that's enough to keep it moist enough for worms? I think I'm just gonna use a thick layer of barks or wood chips. Won't keep it as warm, but will allow rain and snow melt to seep in.
very informative thank you
hey man, you should check out the back to eden film
I was going to say Newspaper but you beat me too it :p, thanks for the video!
I'm not looking at beds , I'm looking at his butt
how soon can I plant, after doing this?
Nice movie. However you can make it yourself. Just google woodprix and learn how to do it easily.
Is that an Australian accent?
Being American (from Cape Cod, Mass) I love the accent. But have to admit, i had to go back a few times! The plastic trick was great. And i will use it. Cheers,
Preparation and ground work is the key!

I am pretty sure you can find good solution on woodprix page 🙂
thank you i love it Blessings,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,<3
Love your channel. Here in Arizona, U.S. I use coconut husk and compost. Black in Arizona creates so much heat. You want protection from the 120 degree sun we have here.
probably the best thickness of timber on a raised bed ive ever seen! good work! Mine bed timbers are 45mm thick… almost as good
Hello, i have some soil in all my raised beds, which is not so fertile. I am planning to top it with organic compost and transfer my seedlings/ saplings into it directly. I am planning correct? please guide.
Let's go to woodprix website, if you want to learn how to build it yourself.
I really can't see any advantage in using raised beds, to me it seems like a lot more work and expense. And a reduction in your growing area over the traditional allotment system of rows.
You must not have rabbits because they would have loved those dandelions! I propagate them!
it's all blurred .can't watch
You don't need to remove the weeds and put them into a compost pile. Just put them up side down and they will decompose right on the top of your raised bed! Composting is absolutely unnecessary.
How we cover this ?
Came here to see the farm hunk raise a bed, only mildly disappointed it wasn’t mine
Very helpful. I especially liked the 3 Ws and tucking in the black plastic with a spade. Where do you get such large pieces please?
Did you buy that dirt for them beds?
