Where to Grow Mushrooms Mushrooms prefer dark, cool, moist, and humid growing environments. In a house, a basement is often ideal, but a spot under the sink may be all you need.
I dont know about the mushrooms, but the white flowers are "Anemone nemorosa". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anemone_nemorosa We call them "Hvitveis" here in Norway. Think the the english name is "Wood anemone"
Light isn't going to be the problem. Fresh wood or type of wood could be. Most people around where I live use less than one year cut oak trees. I've only tried in oak and it's worked well with oyster mushroom inoculated wood dowels. I believe you can use almost any hardwood tree though but it should be fresh (under 1 year).
I don't know but would like to try mushrooms from what I have seen humidity is the thing. Have you found a supply of plugs? Looks like you have plenty of options as to where you can put them. Dave;-)
