This short video describes how my quail turns mulch into an awesome fertiliser/mulch for my fruit and vegetable gardens. Garden mulch can be expensive but I like to get two uses out of my mulch by giving it to my quail first for them to break down and fertilise then I add it to my garden and watch my fruit & Veg thrive!

Mark, I first found your website because I was looking up videos on quail. I really like them a lot – they seem to have such sweet dispositions! And I recently read about how nutritious their eggs are & being cute sized is a plus! I think it is great – how compassionate you are. I saw videos where the birds had nothing but wire to stand on & I think the cages were rather small & tilted – built for the convenience of of the one collecting the eggs – certainly not the birds. It made me feel sorry for them kept this way. If I was a quail – I sure would like to have your arrangement instead of standing on wire & cramped day after day! Thanks for another great video!
I had read that mulch can cause respiratory problems for the birds. Doens't see to be much of an issue for you.

Hi, do you know if Quails would dig under woodchips mulch and eat garden millipede? I have a bad infestation of these little punks and its driving me nut. I can't have chicken dude to hoa restrictions so quail might be my only solution. The millipedes I have are tiny, about 2mm wide and 2cm long. Thank you.
