This is, in my opinion, an excellent example of a true sustainable solution. I am well aware that some of my talking points leave questions. The next videos will address those that I see after reviewing further and consider comments made. These are my views and opinions. They have been developed by a lifetime of insisting upon personal independence and willing to stand up for it and defend if pushed. My criteria…. make the most efficient use of resources, return to the earth and support personal freedom and independence.

Worth looking into, thanks for sharing. It's as you said, not new, but has been improved upon.
Check out Jean Pain ( video here on youtube ) he took the methane idea to a new level by using the heat of composting wood chips to make the methane process work faster. If you keep the tank heated it produces far more methane. Putting that tank in the center of fresh wood chips keeps the reaction going at a much higher rate.
Nice link, I like their facebook page -> https://www.facebook.com/groups/methanogens/
i have seen these bio gas set ups being used in africa and india.they are setting them up to cook on to save trees in certain areas where demanding for cooking wood is so high. i have seen a set-up out west of half dozen 55 gallon barrels that runs all the cooking needs on a homestead.sustainable is also a site specific thing as each and every homestead site is unique.check this guys set up out.

One of the most important products of a biogas digester is the effluent that is excellent fertilizer.
I knew about the lights in London. You can also run a car off it. I have done a bit of research into the kind of thing too. Nice post J lets people know what can be done. 😉
I will go check it out Thank you for the info
Hi,
Here in Germany many farmers grow crops they turn into methane and with the use of large engines eventually electricity. I should add as great as these mini power plants are they create quite a stench. (one was built on the edge of our village a few years ago, we all appreciated the cheap hot water it gave the village but not the smell) I would recommend if you do build it place it down wind from your home your neighbours and anyone you like.
thanks for the share,
Scarlett
Sure looks like it would work real well. Old principals improved upon.
