This is how I bottle my homemade fermented sauerkraut. This batch took me about 10 days of fermentmenting to get the taste just right. Now that summer has here here in the subtropics we won’t be able to grow a cabbage for the next 6 months due to the heat so it’s time to stock up and preserve!

I'm sure that's really tasty and super healthy. I have been craving sauerkraut or Kimcee lately for some reason. Thanks for sharing Mark.
Sure looking good Mark !
It's easy to get by here in holland, Every supermarket has the stuff for next to nothing. Also the greengrocers have their own made stuff (the good ones anyway) but I bet they are not as good as yours ;o)
Cheers !
Great system you have going. I have some jars in the frig and some still fermenting. It is cold here in Wisconsin and snow cover. Enjoy your HOT weather and summer gardening. Keep the videos coming. It helps pass my Winter a little quicker.
Sauerkraut is really good for you Mark. It is excellent for the digestive system probably the best probiotic you can get. Though all ferments are good, provided they are proper ferments.
Man, there ain't nothing better than fresh homemade sauerkraut! I had to snicker when you chugged that juice! I LOVE to drink that stuff! Gonna be harvesting some cabbage soon, and I can't wait to get some fermenting going on ; )
using metal spoons kills bacteria
Is it necessary to add the liquid in the sauerkraut bottle while packing ? Does it increase the shelf life ? Or can it last for months even without adding the liquid ? Plz do reply .. thanks in advance 🙂
