  1. Can you do a video on how you germinate your pumpkin seeds and what you do after they are germinated. I really had trouble with my pumpkins last year. Great video. God Bless.

  2. Great video! I adore using baskets and wood boxes for growing! If you're looking for easy grow containers, you can also grab some 1x's, some chicken wire, nails/U-nails/staples, a hammer/stapler and some weed cloth. Build five frames of your choice size (4 sides and a bottom), cut to size your wire and nail/staple to frames, connect your frames, line the inside with weed cloth and fill it with your mix of choice and you're set. They are very easy and so convenient because you can customize them just how you want, even paint them. 🙂 Enjoyed the video! Thank you for sharing!

  3. Alberta, once the pumpkins were up and looking great, 6-8 inches tall with good leaves, I planted them and then they just started going down hill. Don't know if it was the heat or the humidity. Live in south Mississippi, and you can actually burn up your tomatoes if you don't keep a daily eye on them. Also, I have raised beds. I was thinking if putting the pumpkins in bags of compost or garden soil and cutting holes in the top and drain holes in the bottom and planting them in the flower beds where they will get a little shade in the evening. I'm willing to try a lot of stuff as long as it doesn't cost a lot and I don't have to till or hoe (have major back problems). I thought maybe a different method of germination and then planting might be worth a shot. God Bless.

  4. Hello Huw – great video on how to start a garden with just the bare essentials!  Gardening doesn't have to be expensive!  I always try to do what I can with what I have and spend the least amount possible.  Although you are right, sometimes some supplies are worth investing in, because, after all, you are growing food that you normally would have to spend money on, so it is worth it!
