Today we are looking at how it is possible to grow a community by growing food. This is both through an individual and as a group and I also discuss the benefits of having community gardens:

Fantastic Episode my friend! Growing locally crops that do well in your area can not only provide hours of enjoyment but a start towards a healthier life style! #urbangagriculture #gardening #gardeningtips #communitygardens
Great update Huw, community gardening is great people can learn so much from growing veg, and more children need to get outdoors more and learn about the outdoors. All the best.
Truly a marvellous subject and video Huw. Only goodness can come to people that work and share the fruit and vegetables that nature brings.
Very interesting video! Well done Huw!
I just want to say that you are a beautiful young man inside and out and love viewing your videos which I find very informative and fun to watch.
Nice:D I think your garden is HUGE mate I think you will get a
MILLON SUBS:D
Great message on community gardens, Huw! I also really loved Ron Finley's Ted talk.
A great update and probably the most useful. Gardening has so many other benefits than just growing great tasting healthy food. It's a shame it's not recognised more by those who make decisions in our lives. Well done !
Here's a link to an organization that's helping communities localize their food sources to create jobs and build community wealth kinda along the lines of some things you touched in in your video. community-wealth.org/strategies/panel/urban-ag/index.html
I know personally that growing some of our own food has not only saved us money but given us a context to socialize and share something with friends and neighbors alike.
Supermarkets no longer keep inventory in warehouses. All that is on the shelves arrived JIT. Any small disruption in the supply chains that deliver that JIT inventory and the supermarket does not get its products. This is just another reason to have a garden and better yet, a whole community with backyard gardens. Great video and message.
Hi Huw, Thank you for this video. Being a beginner in gardening, I didn't realise how far things could go starting with a simple seed. I was pleasantly surprised. Also the TED talk, really cool. Thank you for sharing. I am happy I found you, I like your style and information. You're one clever young man. cheers
