Hey luke great vid man, like always good and useful info. Need a little info and help please, I have peat moss, 10-10-10 fertilizer, cow manure compost, mushroom compost and garden soil. Im trying to grow in 5gal buckets as well as in my garden. What do you recommend on how to go about and do I have pretty good supplies gor what im trying to do. Growing tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, lettuce etc. Please help

I watched this video and the one of you planting the asparagus seedlings. I thought in the other video you mentioned not to bury the crown, but it looked like you buried it in this one. I planted mine today and wanted to make sure I did it right. Any advice would be very appreciated.
Hi, Luke! I am a beginner and just ordered some asparagus seeds from Baker Creek. I live in TN, and though we are experiencing some pretty cold night temps right now, I figure it's too late to start asparagus from seed? If so, should I plant in fall or winter of this year? Wish I had thought to get those crowns instead of seeds, but I really have no idea what I'm doing. I just love gardening now and want to grow everything. lol 🙂 Thanks for all your great videos. asparagus really should be planted on a ridge with the roots trailing both sides 🙂
Do you have any recommendations on where to purchase the asparagus crowns? According to the Michigan Bulb Company website, it doesn't even recognize "asparagus" in it's search function. 🙁

I am a first time asparagus and by the look of what you did I planted them upside down? I hope they live when they have been in the ground for 3 days. After the heavy rain I will pull them out and replant them, please show how you actually plant them/ Dow you spread out the roots? How far away?
That was a very informative video – thank you for that. However, if asparagus is supposed to last for up to 40 years, how are you going to change the wood of your raised bed? Surely untreated pine won't last 40 years! Also, would you use straw for the wicking action in such a bed?

After you bury your crowns do you water the bed?. I didnt soak my crowns and they are loosely covered in trench with a couple inches of soil. I put bone meal in my soil for the phosphorus.

I live in eastern canada , I would like to plant some I love asparagus .. I have a nice big cedar garden bed I can put them in ..do I need to protect them once the cold and snow comes ?
I don't understand how to plant asparagus from this video. I like it when you explain what you are doing and why as you do it. Did you use the core method for this bed? What are some good companions to plant with asparagus (preferably other perennials, including other edibles as well as companion flowers for pest control)?
Is it okay to transplant asparagus from pots to a raised bed?
My plan is to start asparagus crowns in pots this spring. Then I want to transplant them into a raised bed in the late autumn once the plants have went dormant.

I have a couple questions, 1st can you give me an idea of how much trifecta & blood meal per plant? 2nd I’m confused about whether to bury the crowns or not, in another video (with seed) you said don’t bury the crowns and mulch with leaves, is this the same? BTW luv the trifecta+. Thanks
I gave you my first thumbs down. It was a good video but before making a video having everything or not doing it is a better policy. Many things are explained without knowing it. Like how deep to plant the crowns from the top of the crowns, how the roots need to be laid and so on. Maybe an updated video that has audio??
