  1. Great video Mark! I love kale, i hide it in chicken soup. Put the kale in at the end and put through blender little ones don't even know its there! As always video is very simple and easy understand. Well for me anyway LOL

  2. Compost soil still needs its organic manure like chickens, ducks, horse, and rabbits. I have seen some people only put compost in and do fine.

  3. Kale is one of my favourite things to grow in the aquaponics.. My italian might be a bit rusty, but I'm fairly sure tuscano nero translates to black tuscan….

  4. Really enjoyed the video Mark.  Never thought of putting Kale in salads though, I've always cooked it before using it.  Do you strip out the central stem or are you using it young for salads?  Cheers mate, and all the best.

  5. I really miss kale through summer. I've never tried to ferment it though. Have you ever grown collards Mark? I stareted growing them 2 years ago and rate them highly for our climate. Very productive and tasty vegie. Like kale it's a pick and come again vegie but makes much larger leaves that taste a bit like cabbage but not quite so strong. Thanks for sharing mate.

  6. Your Kale is looking so nice. I really like the idea of the sugarcane mulch, looks neat and effective and I am sure conserves water as well. I need to grow more Kale, love them in my smoothies. How do you eat your Kale? Salads or any other way you prepare them? Thanks a lot for the video, I am sure it will inspire a lot of us to grow more Kale!

  7. I want to see how to plant quail. ha ha .., make a good April fools vid. ha (Maybe you can make a vid about growing spaghetti.., but watch out for the dreaded spaghetti worm). ha ha

  8. I grow a lot of dinosaur kale and use it for my morning smoothie w blueberries and a yard orange, and a lunch salad. So I grow many plants. It’s January here in California and My kale is getting inundated w cabbage aphids, esp in the taller stalked kale. Do you get those? Ive tried spraying water, then have tried vinegar w dish soap, but it’s a challenge. I don’t want to spray w store products but hoping you’ve had success w some other approach! Thanks for the great videos and g’day!
