What about feeding BSFL to fish? Can the fish then be sold to market? Wild caught fish eat insects, and I have seen them for sale to the public at the Farmers Markets.
Food scraps will work to with no additional cost
Meal worms and crickets are already commercially available as feed in the pet industry. Why isn't that legislation extended to BSFL?
Not sure if you’d come to Wisconsin but there is a group that would like to learn about this. They create event weekends to learn a variety of topics. Just a thought.
BSF is a good compost -er…. but here we are hoping to really learn how to produce as a feed for chicken and maybe pigs. The feeds are too expensive so this would really supplement the protein if it works.
