I have never seen the northern lights but it has always been my dream. You took some amazing photos – the colors dancing in the sky! What a special night. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I have to admit, I would have liked to see some video of the lights.

what time of year were you able to see the lights? Quebec is a lot closer to me than Alaska. Do you know what the likelihood would be to be able to see them in Quebec at any given time?

I once got stuck in a blinding snowstorm on that road.
It was overnight September 30/October 1. I shit you not…took me nine hours to get from Relais Gabriel to Labrador City. 22 hours total from Oromocto, NB.
ON THE LAST DAY OF SEPTEMBER.
Wow, the light show was spectacular! I too seen the Northern (Aurora) Lights once and that is when I along with friend and relatives were in Canada driving through Alberta between Calgary and Edmonton back in 1992 on the way home from Alaska. It was at the end of June and far enough south that it was dark again after 11 PM and while driving after sundown while looking up at the sky, I was seeing these strange but beautiful lights. We then stopped to get a better look and then by looking at them we realize they were the Northern Lights. And they were quite bright.
I have watched these videos a few times still one of my favourite series on YouTube
