Oh my goodness Mark! That warms the cockles of my heart! Animals are so smart & caring towards each other at times – it is amazing how he was sticking close to his mate like that! Extra gumdrops for him and YOU LOL! And so great to see them up close like that (funny that I sung about them in elementary school in West Virginia) !!!!
Nice little story there, thanks for sharing.
Mark, you're a bloody top bloke for rescuing him… I loved the sound he made when you threw him into the air. Top Man!!!
You just took me back to my childhood and a song we used to sing when I was a bout 6 or 7….. Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree.. merry little king of the bush is he.. laugh kookaburra, laugh kookaburra, gay your life must be….
Nice one son!
Thank goodness!
Good thing that it's mate told you there was a problem.
Lucky find mate.
Cheers
Wow, its interesting to see how birds are so clever. Interestingly I had a hummingbird trapped inside my house last month. It was too scared and flying towards a window that could not be opened. Finally had to hold him and release him outside. Kudos to the Kookaburra to have saved his mate! You have quite interesting birds and animals around!
