Interesting facts. The two rhizomes that you gave me I have grown in pots. Initially I had them out in the full sun and had to water them a lot because of wilting, so I decided to move them to the side of the house that was in the shade and they have grown to about 1.5M and very healthy looking. Another thing that I have noticed is that so far the cold night temperatures does not seem to bother them it has been about 5C most nights now. I still do not have any flowers on them.

Yup mine picked up when it cooled down too. Looking forward to see how the tubers did. I will let mine die back. You can eat the leaves too and make tea from them. I have to dry some.
Yacon does produce seed. The person I got the oca from is collecting and selling it. He has many variety's too. And he know more about Yacon and other root crops than anyone I have met yet. I look forward to your harvest.
