Hatching baby chicks from a broody momma is always a blessing, but things can happen. On Day 18, we discovered one of the eggs was torn! Once again, stepping in with Scotch Tape, our incubator, and careful observation, this sweet baby chick hatched and we were able to successfully return it to Miss Jolene! It is a happy ending for all! Thanks for watching! ~

Great video. I loved watching the baby hatch. Good luck little babies.
Actually teared up when that little baby pushed itself out! What a weenie I am. Haha In my experience, bantam hens will take eggs or babies, any babies, any time. We had one that kept trying to steal a litter of kittens! Everytime mama cat would leave to eat that little hen would run over & cover those kittens. Then she'd fight that cat when she came back. We finally had to lock the hen up for a few days.
I was wondering what you do with your goats?
I'm glad it worked out well for you. I used to do the same thing when I raised Gouldian Finches. It's a little more delicate of a job as their eggs are teenie tiny, but works just the same.
This video is so beautiful. I love anything baby…well not snakes spiders or roaches, however anything else is wonderful. You did good and so did Joleen!!!
I've always wonder how do you tell what eggs to eat and which ones to hatch? is there a difference ? can you tell, etc.? thank you! love your videos!
what do u use to mark on the eggs?
I had a broody hen and she accepted my 10 day old baby's and she raised them up fine
What kind of incubator is that?
Do you remove the shells after they hatch under mom's?
Why are there drawings on the eggs in the incubator?
I know this was over a year ago…do you think graphing a piece of shell over the hole would work?
I am curious, do you keep all your hatchlings or do you do something with the roosters?
that was very cool – thanks for posting
I already knew you were wonderful – this is just another reason why!
I like the use of the scotch tape, I will give that a go if needed. Thanks
Where is this incubator from?
