  1. About to buy a Jang seeder, over in Australia. Have you tried the Johnny's 6 row seeder? Surely that would be quicker than doing 6 runs with the Jang, or is there too much mucking around getting the 6 row working right? Cheers for the great clips!

  2. Curtis, what is your spacing on your plants – I'm getting ready to plant my winter crop and planted it in planter boxes the last time I tried to grow it. My seeds are about 2 years old so hope they will still germinate.

  3. Could you tell me what your spacing is on your kale plants? Also I was wondering, when you start them by seed in the cells, do you put one see or a few and do you thin them to one plant or just plant what you get?

  4. I was hoping you could clear up a discrepancy from your book. Fig 6 (Crop Profiles) & Fig 49 (Seed sowing Density) both have 'Apr-Sep' for when to direct seed. Fig 49 doesn't have a date for first GH/PLT plant date but the crops section (production) says it's one of the first greens you direct seed in the greenhouse; "my earliest seeding would be late February". If you could, please verify the dates from the book, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for all the great Video's and Information!

  5. I noticed that my red russian kale was going to seed (it formed a flower heard but didn't open up yet). Can I cut the flower head off and save the kale or is it too late and the kale will taste bitter? Also, how densely are you planting your kale (a seed every 4 inches or so? Thank you.

  6. Is the reason your leaves are so small because you have them so densely planted, plus your choosing to harvest them when they are that small?

  7. Curtis, if you are available, I know you got that awesome training going on, but I am confused, I have seen red russian kale that grow really huge. Is it that you harvest them before they get huge? Also, how big are the leaves when you harvest them? The size of the palm of an adult male?

  8. My red russian is getting bigger than what you are cutting there Curtis and I am not sure if I should just cut it tomorrow and market it as baby kale or wait two more weeks and put it in with the lettuce and beet greens as a salad mix.

  9. hey man… ive seen u on owen… dude, the edges of mine get yellowish… i cant figure out why tho… any thoughts?. other greens around them are fine. Not sure if over or under watering maybe?
