It's also known as a rose myrtle. Can't wait to grow one myself some day. They are native to my country and I've seen them growing wild around. Never knew they were edible.
I've never heard of this kinda Gooseberry, it certainly looks like it's starting to crop well and looks really nice when it's in full flower. Looking forward to the jam making video Mark 🙂 Cheers, Adam
I have heard of goose berry's. But never tried them myself. Thanks for sharing What it is like to eat and harvest.
The flower looks similar to a guava and the bush in flower is amazing. Wish I could grow it but it is too cold here. I do, however, grow the regular goosberries and love gooseberry shortcake and gooseberry sponge pudding with edmonds custard. Ha, ha.
Thanks for the video Mark. I planted one of these last year. I got it from Daleys and used the discount code from your webpage. After watching this I'm glad I planted it, and looking forward to the fruit in the years ahead.
Wish I could taste them they sure look great. Is the pony yours I don't think I have seen it before.
Interesting. It certainly does look nice in bloom. I have never tasted goosberries though. I have one question though. Does dog piss add to the flavor? LOL
Seriously though, I will have to look for these locally.
Beautiful berries, Mark! I'm glad the birds and fruit flies leave them alone. 😉
Great video. Have you ever tried growing serviceberries? I hear they are quite similar to blueberries but they don't need the acidic soil.
Lovely bush and berries (did I just say that?) LOL Looking forward to the jam video.
That's interesting how they look. Almost like blueberries. Those darn fruit fly are everywhere now. Vietnam farmera are facing them now. They probably brought from somewhere else.
what is a cheese jam?
maybe a tarp or sheet on the ground first to catch what you drop.

Hi Mark, two hundred already from one bush that's a lot ! I never seen this variety before.
They look great! I am sure they taste great too. Even ornamentally they seem to look pretty, so you have got a winner there. Cheers!
Do you have seeds?
Can you email me the seed ?
Loved it at the start when scooter chucked a piss in front of the camera!!!
It is wild fruit here in Malaysia. We call it as Kemunting. Scientific name is Rhodomyrtus tomentosa
Hi can anyone help please . Can I buy seeds or gooseberry
Do you mind to tell me where i can buy this plant or seeds in Brisbane?
They are so good. When I was a child, I and my sisters went to the mountain in the south of China to pick up them to eat. Thanks sharing this.
Heya Mark, have you ever tried any other variety of Gooseberry? Thanks!
Do you have more than one tree? I thought two are needed for pollination?
