My wife informed me we ordered those same potatoes from highmowing. Can't wait to get em in the mail. Good vid. We'll compare days to harvest when I get mine in.
Thanks for an informative and interesting video.
Great as usual! I wonder if those potatoes are going to develop roots in the leaves like your tomatoes did…they sold me on the use of leaves!
Do you have any photos/videos from previous years showing the before, during and harvest? I've never heard of planting peas with the potatoes, does it have to be a certain kind or any peas work?
Have to wonder if peas and potatoes would work in a large bucket?
My new favorite gardening channel. Thank you for the videos!
What is the implement you have on the tractor for planting the potatoes?
Hello Mark. Good video, well presented, enjoyed the watch. Check out this small experiment I did. Let me now what you think.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rA2ljqdrRU
I would love to see more on raising worms. I have a "Worm Inn" but I am not very good at it yet – especially the harvesting of the castings.
Yours is my new fav gardening channel. I love that you are professional and experienced in organic gardening. I'm watching every video you've made at least twice to be sure I get it. I'm relatively new to gardening so there's much to learn. I want to grow all organic, highly nutritious food. Thank you!
Very good! Good luck with the crop. Most appreciate you making these very informative videos.
Would potatoes grow into gallon pots woodchip mulch only? How about moringa trees, or anything else?
I have always cut the potatoes and planted in the same day and always came out positive now with the back to Eden Garden I plant the whole potato I harvest and plant in the same day
What kind of potatoes are you saying?
Where do you get the field peas? What would you call them?
WOW tons of good tips here! Happily on a whim I picked up one bag of 8 non-GMO Red Norlands from Home Depot. (May go back for more LOL). Looking forward to the soil warming up so I am sure to come back and review this video several times before then. Wondering if any kind of peas do the same as the Field Peas? Grateful!
Lots of good information here thanks for posting
I'm wondering if you have planted potatoes in winter rye. I have raised beds that I've planted with winter rye and am looking for a good solution for planting potatoes.
Great videos by the way.
Thanks for all the work you're doing on this, Mark.
You mentioned the idea of "opposites" — that a study shows that large seed potatoes yield small potatoes, and small ones yield large potatoes. Would you be able to point me to that study?
My family likes larger potatoes. Paul recommends replanting the largest potato, so I’m worried were not only losing out on the biggest potato this year, but also we’ll get smaller potatoes next year.
Thanks again.
Anyone here from 2018
Excellent video. Do you have any problems with slugs/snails where you are based?
The best potato growing method I've seen. Thanks. I subscribed
Thanks Mark can't wait to plant potatoes in leaves this year.
Why didn't you sow a cover-crop with your potatoes? Is that what the field peas are for?
Too funny! I loved how you just threw those peas in. Made me laugh.
The opposite information was new to me. Most growers say largest potatoes are best to grow bigger ones.
Gardening in zone 6b NJ myself, you have become my go-to person and channel. You make things so clear and I have gained an amazing amount of knowledge from you, especially about soil building. Thank you so much for so generously sharing with us.
I want to do intercropping to potatoes this year what would you recommend other than peas? Would onions grow well?
How did they turn out?
