that is not the correct way to do it
What is the size of your bed and the distance between plants?
Granny knot king
Wow this was mostly BS.
I used this method a few times. It was easy but really need to stay on top of pruning. I got blight for the first time in years.
I’m going to try this Friday. My tomatoes are starting to get big! I’ll let you know how it does for me!
Im staying subbed cuz your info is good but these 10 minute videos for 45 seconds of info are trying my patience. Seems every youtube video these days.
Hey I mow my lawn a lot too!! =P
Do you recommend this method for determinant and indeterminate tomatoes?
Your neighbor is a clown. Just ignore him.
Great vids btw
LMFAO!!!! THAT FN NEIGHBOR!!!!! l laughed so hard at that last part!!
Too much dialogue in the video. Should be more demonstration.
Is this your preferred method for raised beds or using furring strips for stakes?
you ruined my marriage
I sent my husband this video too. You seem to have so much fun gardening.. you are so knowledgeable with planting.
Hey Luke, LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ! I have a question. Here in SC we have a LONG growing season and my tomatoes got 8 feet tall this year with harvesting well into November. Will this work for plants that tall ? Thanks man
Or you could use PVC.
It wasn't stated explicitly, but do I understand correctly that the Florida weave requires pruning of all suckers and keeping just 1-2 main stems? OR can we keep training multiple suckers up the weave?
I'm confused and torn about the choice of 6 foot T-posts for stakes. That seems way too short for bigger indeterminates (mine definitely have surpassed 6 feet last year and that's when things get hairy). I'd like to get 8 foot stakes (so that I get 7 feet useful above ground height), but T-posts don't seem to come in that size (and are expensive and ugly). If I made stakes from 2x2x8 pressure treated wood, hammered them 1 foot underground, spaced them 4 feet apart, AND maybe reinforced them by screwing them into the outside of the raised garden bed, would they still buckle under the weight of the big indeterminates?
I know this is an old video. I gave my tomatoes each their own t post last summer and some were 12 feet high. What do you do then? I like this idea but I would not know what to do in that situation. As it was I had to tie heavy sticks to the top of my posts.
Do you still prune any when using the Florida weave?
Bro u are so loose with the lips. I mean I learn from u but u really beat a pretty useless fact into the ground repeating urself a lot. I always fast forward to half the video or more because u are so long winded lol. It’s called long story short. N trust me most ppl have seen a lot of ur videos we don’t need the same half hour shpiel u do in every video. Seriously lol. Not necessary.
You messed mate….you need to weave both sides. Not from one side alone. …
Los tomates hacen salsa
use a truckers knot… you can cinch it down as tight as you want and just pull on it to release it when you are done so you don't have to cut it…
Gave me something to think about. Starting a new garden, new state, new climate. Thx.
Blessings, julie
Nylon baler twine? Do you actually mean polypropylene? TSC sells polyethylene baler twine.
This is what I will use this year.
