Huge inspiration as always.
Spotted them at 11:56. Great video!!
what is his corn spacing in the 30inch bed?
efficient companion planting in a profitable setting, ain't that something…
Great job and great show Curtis love it
13:52
thats a big farm
Drone shadow at 7:45 looks like a gnome!!!!
Love that inter planting with the peas, I've been experimenting with a lot of that on my farm this year. Do you happen to know what variety of peas he is using? Also just started you online course this week(i'm guy from Nebraska) and am loving it so glad you took the time to put it together!
I loved this episode.
This farm is right around the corner from where we r visiting this summer. Gotta check it out 🙂
Great stuff ! Thanks for all you do brother..
Love the companion cropping idea. Singing frogs farm also does a lot of companion planting (broccoli and lettuce heads, tomatoe with basil on the edges) I like getting a crop and a half a bed it's smart business.
so much detail, love what you do.
Nice Farm!
Thank God that he doesn't have that dang Gnome infestation issue and can get a decent nights sleep!
Did I misunderstand the term 'Farm Gate'? I watched the whole thing looking for a gate.
Help. help. i'm losing massive percentage to critters. where can i get netting like that to cover a 50 foot x 75 foot space
Have you tried 40% milk mixed with 50% water to spray on powdery mildew. Organic grape growers in Australia use it.
Hey man, do you know whats the name of the Natural Bacteria is, that he mentions in the video at 8:53 or so? I have powdery mildew and other diseases popping up in my small farm and am looking for some new options. Thanks!
That guys really awesome, wish i had the chance to talk to him too. Sadly i live in the North East, someday when i go on a trip out west ill stop by and see how things are going on your farm man. Keep up the good Work!
Here too. Worked in the ER as a registered nurse, couldn't take it anymore. I'm 26 now starting this farm and I couldn't be more excited. Thanks for all the great content Curtis, it has helped tremendously.
I love his discovery of peas. I grow Johnny's Field Peas, (cover crop) and spring going into summer was not good. I am enjoying Fall Field Peas. I love the flowers. Now I know how to get them thru the summer. I am watching every issue bc you have cleverly interspersed pertinent tidbits of info into each Vlog. This is like playing a video game! I ordered you book on Amazon and a Primus flame torch. I am covering my front yard with landscape fabric. I am blocking ALL of the light bc I do not have a (5) row flame weeder. In the spring I will move the tarps to allow for walkways. These tarps are like walking on ice skating rinks until they build up dust. The strawberry info was also beneficial bc I order several varieties from Nourse and I had no idea that deer may be eating my flowers. They did snack on the alfalfa that I interplanted. Well I'll watch a few more Vlogs then I'm off to cover more ground.
how did he plant the onions in the plastic? are those transplants or is he direct seeding them?
I am on the fence about doing a farm for a living or staying in my job. I have one of those M-F jobs. The only free time I have is on the weekend. I have a quarter acre here in the city that I could easily get a urban farm going but the wife is not swing that way yet.
I have no doubt he'll make it because coming from a Financial background he most likely has a mathematical mind, plus he'll run his farm as a business man not an ideologue. All the best.
I quit my office job and now grow 🙂
its a big space, how many ppl work there and what machinery?
ta 🙂
Very interesting and informative! Can't wait to check his place out and support his market. Thank you for a compelling video.
Great video, like most of yours an inspiration. I'm working that high stress office/building site job – great pay and houses and feeds my family, but hollow. Little bit of solace from an 8'x6' greenhouse and 3 raised beds plus containers wherever there is a gap! Thanks
Peas with roots AWESOME!!! Thank you!
Is this place still thriving and following the same concept?
