You can never have too much compost, but when you don’t have enough you soon find yourself in trouble! However by creating a simple set-up in a corner of your garden you will soon have a lot more compost to play with – and that is a good thing as it is commonly known as black gold after all. In this video, I talk through our set up and how it works as a cycle as well as the benefits of this design.

I’m stunned because I do the same thing! I keep them separate so I can untie the ropes and take away the pallets for 360 degrees of shovel access. Turn once a month for 3 months.

Don't you get mice & rats in the compost?
Great video! I love the rotating system. How long do you let a bin cure (once you’re done actively adding) before you use it in the garden?
You are saying 15 cel. is boiling hot!
Hello Huw, thank you for the video, it's very instructive and well made. I always wonder why people don't paint their pallets so they don't rust and degrade so fast? if sanded and painted they last much longer, turning a cheap piece of wood and nails into a surprisingly lasting structure.
Be sure to only use heat treated pallets. Stamped HT in the US. Others have chemical treatment.
Lol boiling hot at 60°. Try Arizona where it's 115°. You can cook eggs and meat on the pavement
