  1. Hi Curtis great info thanks – Can I ask if you have no access to a stand pipe for water Could this system work through harvested water via a collection system if you were to use a pump?

  2. So if all the sprinklers spray in what I'm assuming is a circular pattern, and you are trying to avoid too much overlap, how do you cover every part of a square bed? Won't you miss the cross section between 4 sprinklers?

  3. Hi Curtis, are those posts 4 ft? In your book you say use 4 ft posts (6ft 2x4s burried 2ft) but they look shorter in this video. I'm wondering if you used shorter posts for some reason? Thanks.

  4. hey mate, been watching a fair few of your vids and loving it. i haven't found a vid yet talking about fertilizing or if u test the soil for the primary minerals/ph levels. cheers

  5. Curtis, just as clear as mud. Seriously, I love the way that you correct yourself as you go along. I checked your book and the subject and presentation became quite clear. I have problems with the minor adjustments at the sprinkler heads. I think I will get better with adjustments with the sprinkler heads with time. Thanks for a great presentation. Thankfully in The Philippines and in The Texas Gulf Coast, I do not have to worry about freezing.

  6. Thanks Curtis. I was wondering about water pressure. I like those Micro overhead sprinklers and will set those up as well.
If you ever want to visit New Hampshire USA let me know; you'd be most welcome !! Great information saves time !!!

  7. Curtis hello my name is Hugh in WNY I have about 3 x the annual natural rain fall as compared to your area. Will irrigation be non existent? Or will I still have occasion for watering? Also what is the optimum temp for growing greens?

  8. Curtis, I live in rural area with wells. The water from ground is hard and has to be softened to be used in house. My question is should the garden use soft or hard water??? Thanks for all of your expertise

  9. Hi Curtis,
I was quoted 17K for an irrigation company to come out and install a 30 zone controller (cut through side of house and tapped right into the water tank supplied by our well) and all the overhead (head to head coverage) to water 10 30×100 ft plots (30” beds) and 3 30×100 drip plots (30” beds). So about a total 86 30”x100’ beds. They’re trenching all the lines in with their machine and all that good stuff but is 17K insane? I’m fortunate enough to have a separate business to help fund the initial infrastructure but I feel like I’m trying to use residential/commercial irrigation professionals to setup a farm. Thoughts?

  10. The construction procedures of high-efficiency water-saving irrigation project include pre-construction preparation, Measuring and Setting-out, Pipe trench excavation, pipeline installation, system water test, trench backfilling and so on. This video explains the installation of irrigation pipes, the installation of irrigation irrigators, the installation of fertilizer applicator, and the installation of filters.

how to install a high efficieny water saving irrigation system? This video will give you the answer.

  11. curtis my sprinklers spray majority of the water far and very little short range, that screw that you adjusted could that help in getting more water short range?? My garden is only 18ft wide and 100 ft long. I am thinking of having 2 180 degree impact sprayer which I have so far do the bulk of the watering and secondary to add a bunch of 90 degree ones.

I have an improvement to your system how you can get more flow. I noticed both of your timers were connected to a 4 way brass splitter which has only 1/4" ball valves. I recommend you get a Y splitter solid brass with no valves whih has 1/2" holes. Basically along your lines you never want to reduce the flow tube diameter less than 1/2 inch. City line is usually 3/4 or 1 inch pipe. If you were to make all lines 5/8" into your timer it probably could run 3 sprinklers at once without too much pressure drop. I guess those times would be the biggest restriction. I deally an industrial timer that has a 1" port would be best and that way you only would need 2 zones instead of five.

  12. I tried irrigating with sprinklers last year some plant did very poor. They work good for colder tolerance plants. Warm weather plants hate it here in the Colorado mountains still able to harvest some painted mountain corn.
