I plan to move back to Somalia where am originally from, to start greenhouse Tomatoes. Where can I find an affordable 6mm UV polythene cover for an 30m by 8m greenhouse?? I plan to construct it using timber.
Also the soil is very sandy their. Any advice please I would be so helpful. And also Seeds, which hybrid variety would you think best suit for the climate? very hot, average temperature is 28degrees.

curtis, I want to thank you for the creative inspiration. I farm for myself and my fam but I've gotten several great ideas from you to improve production. thanks from Southern vermont.
Do you grow only cherry tomatoes with 10 inch spacing or is it for larger tomatoes too? If it is possible to grow a tomato plant with 10 inch spacing then it should also be possible to grow two stems from each plant with 16 inch spacing which i want for my upcoming hydroponic Greenhouse.
It's hard to believe all this on 1/3 of an acre.

I heard a few possible myths that I was wondering if you could shed some light on.
1. have you ever tried putting down any red colored plastics under tomatoes?
I've just heard that it helps tomatoes ripen fully and/or faster, by reflecting more red light than soil does. or is this essentially a bullshit marketing strategy with no benefit?
2. I've also heard that certain plants can be near others to add flavor, such as planting basil near your tomatoes to give the tomatoes a little extra flavor. I'm only asking because in your basil video I noticed that you planted them pretty close to your tomato greenhouse. have you noticed any flavor difference?

Having just purchased 1.6 acres I am eager to begin. My question: Have you any information / experience with farming near a street light or other 24 hour, continuous light source? Hey, do you add acidifier to the soil for the tomatoes? I'm from New Jersey, we have a more acidic soil. I grow some interesting varieties that I get from Rutgers, and your advice is helping me produce more, thank you.
Hopping out of the saturated market in high saturation times has to be better for the market as a whole too. I imagine a single source doing this won't affect much, but if it's an idea that many people adopt, it could do well for the remaining producers. I'm sure there is an equilibrium of exiting-vs-staying already established during these fuller times.
With more exploration into grow conditions vs taste, would it be reasonable for you to market those tomatoes as "better" tomatoes (assuming consistent production)? Do you see it as too high an opportunity cost to mess around with that? I know with restaurants specifically, they care a lot about the taste and sometimes are willing to pay more for a better product.
Back when I was growing tomatoes just for my own consumption, I also found that they did not yield big enough or enough volume of tomatoes in pots, even though, plenty of books and videos insisted that they did. So I am with you Curtis, they don't yield the same in pots. Tomatoes need to be planted in the earth.

This was 2016. By late 2017, Curtis was saying he's not going to grow tomatoes, except for his own family's use.
Curtis, do you ever plant, or even root any of the suckers? I would like to use the suckers for production in The Philippines. Thanks for sharing.
Hii Curtis, great video again. You are just a massive inspiration for me. I usually take notes from your videos particularly where you mention the time frames. I am very much interested in having tomato fruit ready for harvesting in december or januaray (winter time). What would be the ideal month for me to start the seed germination and then transferring them into soil. I am focussing pn growing indeterminate tomato varieties.
