how do cut the holes in the tarp ?
I love the poetry in motion farming, Curtis. But is spotting the missing "S" at 0:51 like spotting the gnomes in the other videos?
;->
Sort of related to this video… For your seedlings do you feed them with any kind of liquid fertiliser or do they just get that big on your seed raising mix alone?
thanks for sharing. Take care Jonathan
WOW! Are those the 1 1/2" soil blocks? Any special mix that you use?
I always have the same problem with my leafy greens- they grow long "necks" up to the cotyledon. And that makes them hard to transplant.
I appreciate what videos you put out even though you are so busy. Is there anyway to download or buy your music?
Thanks Bro. Missed your daily videos..!
You're getting tired ;o) Winter is coming…
I notice that once you put the plant in the hole, that you don't backfill and tamp the soil down. Could you explain why? I like not having to do the extra work so it must be working for you.
how you keep squarely.
how many days are the seedlings in trays before getting planted out?
Do you have a problem with the lettuce leaves burning when they touch the black plastic? I am using black plastic for the first time this year and am surprised (and worried) by how hot the black plastic gets on a day like today in the mid-70's (fahrenheit).
How many rows of drip tape are under the row covers for the salanova lettuce beds? I am guess that they are in between each row of lettuce?
Hey Curtis. Could you tell me why you don't use the jang seeder to seed your Salanova lettuce? If you were to use the jang, what roller would you use? I ask because I am thinking about investing in one and some rollers. Thank you.
Is the tarp permeable? Can i use granular fertilizer on top of it?
how to I make sure the lettuce I grow does not have bacteria and how would I get it tested. I give most of my extra away for now, but am almost ready for your courses and book.
Hi this is Suneel from India haave question,
Always you do manual planting when you use fabric bed cover? If you are using any tool it will be great if u show that.
Suneel
dude how many days you transplant your lettuce from seed tray to open field.?
Why don’t you use the hand held transplanter thingy? I think it’s better for your operation for several reasons:- 1- You won’t need to burn the holes, instead it can punch through the plastic (not sure if this also applies to fabric).
2- You won’t need to bend down.
3- Tou won’t need to cover your transplants with dirt, because when you remove the transplanter from the ground it automatically covers the transplant.
4- Huge time saver.
5- you can easily diy one yourself.
By the way I never tried it, I just saw some videos and in theory this makes sense, what do you think?
Wow It's Amazing
What shade cloth do you use and where could I buy it? I have several 12Ft Garden boxes
I have learned gardening, simple medical, ham radio, CC, and food storage. You are right, knowledge is more valuable than anything. I am actively using my gardening skills, saving some money with it, and using my long term food storage knowledge to save money as well. It is just a good idea.
