why don't you use any filter on your drip system? won't your drip tape clog?
Great video. One question, what is the white flex pipe (looks like dryer exhaust) going from the wall to the ceiling? it is visible right in front of you at 9:10
hell yeaaa
you need a thumbs up sound effect. works really good.
What was the approximate cost for the lines and T's for that? Length of bed? Thanks!
As I'm looking into starting my own farm your videos are extremely helpful. My wife and I are taking a lot of time to plan and learn before starting to hopefully minimize the learning curve on the job.
The bed looks great and the talk on drip irrigation was very informative. Thankyou for the video.
That has got to be one of the Coolest looking Green Houses I have ever seen in my life, I would live in that thing, No joke, just need a futon bed and a TV, Living with Plants sounds better than living with people lol
Is there solar panels on that thing, if not, Dude get some, not to tell you what to do
nice! what was your cost for the raised bed?
bought your book. really enjoyed it. easy to follow. thank you. would you recommend doing raised beds outside? or is ground better in terms of weeds, soil quality, water drainage?
Congrats one the raised bed! I love how you are utilizing your space and it's quite fun to watch.
I have no malicious intentions with the following statement. The word is wheelbarrow. "Wheelbarrel" is not a word
How old are those lemon trees!? I started some seeds about a year ago and they're only about 18 inches tall and pencil thick!
Looking great boss
Helluva nice job!
Is that drip irrigation hose, the same as leaky hose we have in the UK? or do you have to fit drip points to it? tia
nice music
I have been using the poly tubing for all my irrigation but what type of dripline is that? For drip I've been using the 1/4 inch line with the 6 or 12 inch spaced emitters but that looks different and why change from 1/4 inch since im pretty sure I've seen that on other videos. thanks
I see what you're doing. Barechesting it more and more in these fall vids to increase the female viewership. :S
Wonderful video Curtis,
What do you do in the winter with the drip system that is exposed to freezing temperatures?
Great Job Curtis! You showed how to connect the header lines together, but how do you attach the drip to the header tees and elbows?
5 drip lines on 30" (~80cm) wide bed?? You are using Aqua Traxx. Each emitter is good for 8" to 12" diameter so three line is more than enough for overlapping coverage for 30" wide bed. I use only 2 lines outside on my 30" wide bed. Then again my beds are 100' long so it gets too expensive to have multiple buried drip lines. Personally, spend the $$ and go with 15 mil. Watch out for the labor cost that is why go with the 15mil. Bury once and forget it for about 5 years.
Fruit harvest for citrus such as Meyer lemon and grapefruit starts in December and ends around in Mar. If the tree is really well cared for Barass lime will fruit year round. This is from my personal experience with Meyer, Pink grapefruit, Barass, Kumquat, varigated pink lemon and kaffir lime in zone 9. Kaffir lime is for leaves fruit not so much.
your potted tree is about 5 years old. You say its lemon but is it Eureka, Meyer (not a real lemon), or Lisbon? Probably MEyer since its inside a green house so it has to be dwarf. Improved Meyer is all dwarf but it still can get to be 6' tall.
Do enjoy and get a good chuckle in a good way. Thanks.
Always love the new music.
Hi Chris great video series. Have you experimented with rock dust? I'm curious if rock dust helps with yield and or quality.
Bangin tunes in this!
Hey- when I made a donation just now, I couldn't tell whether I was in US or Canadian dollars while doing so. If it was too low then I'll make another later,
Which Toro product do you use for your drip lines?
Yo that song is really good can I get that song to listen to it on a daily basis or do I have to pay for it?
what do you grow in that raised bed?
One way to fit more soil in the van is to lay down a tarp first and bring it up the sides and front so after scooping it out, drag out the tarp and it doesn't leave your van a complete mess
That bed is simply beautiful!!!!!! Love your channel Curtis. Been binge watching for 48 hours and learning a TON!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience
