A couple of weekends ago we welcomed our local permaculture group to our smallholding for an apple day. Even through we have around 30 apple trees, we didn’t actually use any of our apples because everyone else brought so many! It is a great event because it allows people who don’t have an apple press to make their own apple juice. Could you do something similar in your community? We welcome Angie Polkey, a permaculture teacher and a member of our permaculture group to talk about the significance of the event and the other benefits it brings.

Wish I had known, I would have come over.
Love what you have done!!!! And so much fun!!!
Marvelous to see a real community at work Huw. I love apple juice.
I didn't know you were a permaculturist. I'm still looking to see where i can take my PDC. As far as i can tell, nowhere around here for 150 km. At least i can work on my own garden in the meantime. Might take another decade before i'm able to save enough money to travel out of my area and take it elsewhere.
Love it.
Awesome group, awesome principals, thx for the share
I hope you have a use for the apple pulp once the juice is removed. Inquiring minds from across the pond wish to know.
