that is awesome…..i am not a mushroom expert, but if they are that is awesome…i love shiitakes!, wish my climate was conducive to grow them, besides in my area of the world the termites would devour the logs before the mushroom spores even had a chance to sprout,,lol

That's really awesome! No mushroom expert but they sure look it. I wanted to grow some as well but someone talked me out of it because I hate to run into the small chance of ending up with something other than a shitake.

I would take one to someone local and not trust a photo, more than likely they are but be safe, I'm always nervous when picking mushrooms even when I know what they are Have a great new year
