You could possibly use another flat to push down the seed.
where do you purchase the empty flats and seed trays?
Curtis, I just can't figure this out. I've listed to you Diego talk about. I've watched your videos on this and Jang seeder. I've watched you transplant, hand cut the heads versus cutting other crops with the Greens Harvester. With the amount of time it takes: to seed the trays; prepare the holes in the plastic; lay down the plastic in the beds; plant the transplants, WHY in the world do you do the Salanova varieties instead of a simple greens lettuce mix you could plant into the beds with the Jang seeder and harvest with the Greens Harvester. The amount of time saved I would think would make up any loss in harvesting amounts. If you've explained it already before, PLEASE shoot me the link to it. This thing has been rattling around in my head for over a year and I just can't figure it out. I know you are using the paper pot transplanter now and that would speed up the transplanting aspect, but now you lose the weed suppression advantage you have with the plastic covers. I just can't figure it out.
Those looked like pea seeds not lettuce seeds
3:48 'I like my plugs to be really tight." -Curtis Stone
What temperature range is your green house to germinate the lettuce? Ive been having trouble with germination. Thank you
hey where can i buy my own seed cell trays?
Where can I get these commercial grade bursary flats at?
been watching so many videos my head hurts, so lettice is not a microgreen, and the 4-4-4 fertilizer is not used in microgreen mix or do you use any fertilizer on the microgreens. so what all do you use the 4-4-4 fertilizer for and do you ever use any other fertilizer?
Where do you buy the seeds from?
Hey thanks Curtis I have problems for my pepper is blossom and rot?
"I like my plugs to be really tight, that way they don't dry out as fast"
Could you give some insight into how you use lights for helping your plants grow – this is my biggest struggle as a home gardener right now.
Hello Mr. Curtis I like most of your video and very inspiring. May I know how old are you now?
Hi Curtis. Thank you so much for these videos. I have been studying your books in preparation for the upcoming season. Do you still grow the other lettuce types that you recommend in your book, or do you exclusively grow salanova for the lettuce?
I feel like you could invent a type of pezz dispenser that could give you one seed quickly with a click without having to hold them
What's your hardening off routine for your Salanova, Curtis?
Nice information
I thank you for all your great information
Hi Curtis. Could you use again an empty flat to press down all your seeds at once?. I love your job! Greetings from Argentina!
Boss.. You didn't show how to plant them from tray to soil.
Great attitude
I like my plugs to be really tight – I bet you do.
Could you build a make-shift seeder by using another flat, drilling some holes in the bottom of each mini square section, place over the top of the soiled flat then add a seed to each mini-square section. When you remove the 'seeding flat' there will be a seed in each section perfectly in the middle?
Thanks very much for taking the time to make a meaningful video. Since you do a lot of planting, there's a few shortcuts that might make your work easier. Cutting the bottoms out of one tray and using it as a guide would make seeding faster. Using a regular tray to press the seeds down would also be faster. Dusting over the seeds with potting soil and then pressing it again with a regular tray…bang, you're done and ready for the next tray.
I could really use a soil for dummies video, anyone have a suggestion? I've watched about 3 dz of curtis' vidoes and i find myself lost at basics.
How can a greenhouse be noisy! Plants shouldn't make noise! Call your local priest please
How do you collect seeds from grown salanova lettuce plants? Mine dont seem to be seeding
I see that this is an older video. Now that you have the Paper Pot Planter system is this obsolete for your farm?
Looking for machine to put 1/4-1/2" of soil in my 1020 shallow trays…doing 100+ trays a week.
