  1. We tried this last year, and soon after a big storm came and knocked it over. We are going to try above garden beds next. One day when it's not raining. Love green houses though!

  2. I literally have exactly the same one lol I put a bag of compost on the bottom shelf to weigh it down and stop it blowing away. Last week I forgot to replace the bag and it ended up taking a flight round the garden, destroying all but 2 of the baby plants in it 🙁 moral of the story weigh it down or you've essentially bought a kite lol other than that they're great!

  3. I bought this greenhouse and few years back. My only complaint is that it will not accommodate a 2×4 ballast (I use it indoors). The two things I like are A) the shelves are removable to accommodate plant growth and B) it zips up and keeps my pets out.

  4. Hi! I happened to have bought this before the video came up in my feed. It was $20 at Ocean State Odd Lot. Since I am not handy with tools and have arthritis in my hands, I used a hammer to lightly tap in the metal supports. It went together fairly easily despite the lack of instructions and I have one extra piece (a thin metal rod – anybody know what it's for?). It seems quite sturdy and tidys up my bedroom nicely.

I got a second one to put outside in the spring when hardening off plants and perhaps then put some smaller containers on it.

    Thanks for the great video!

  5. I have this one, it was given to me by someone who left it in their yard for 3 years 😛 great shape except for the plastic, which became brittle. replacements i found for 15 bucks. I'm sure bringing it in for winter will probably extend the life of the plastic.

  6. i used to have one of these, first good breeze we had it blew right over and destroyed all of our plants, even with a couple cinder blocks in the bottom

  7. I just stumbled across this same greenhouse at Home Hardware here in Halifax, Nova Scotia for $35 plus tax. I have it set up inside with a grow light and have some seeds planted on April 6/19 that are just popping their heads out now. I still need to get one or two more grow lights so I can get more seeds started.

I don't think it would work on my deck unless I put something super heavy on the bottom shelf. We get strong gusts of wind here and my deck is three floors up on our house. But I was just looking for a way to set up grow lights and to keep my cat from getting to the plants, anyway. This is my first year starting a deck garden.

This was a super easy set up for a 57 year old mobility limited Gramma. (Took me a bit more than 9 or 10 minutes but what the hay… Lol). Very pleased with this purchase.

  8. Im waiting on mine, I just bought a very similar but slightly larger walk in mini greenhouse. All the same materials. The one I'm waiting on is under 5 by 5 and is about 7 ft tall. Can't wait to have a more controlled environment for my plants. I do more of hobby gardening (flowers succulents some tropicals and herbs.) Wish me luck!

  9. i just found this at Walmart for 20.00 but it took me about 20 minutes as I put in the brackets 1/2 wrong.. so I have to take it apart again. the shelves are cheap. but mine is a little bigger..Trade off. I don't have the support crossbars for the support. left a like

  10. For anyone interested in these and are in the New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania area. Ocean State Job Lot has the same exact thing by a different brand for $20. We've had ours for a few years and haven't seen any signs of deterioration. I would also add that combined with the $1 cat litter trays that we used for grow trays from the Dollar Tree, we were able to get 8 trays of High Intensity leaf lettuce and spinach!

  11. Thank you for posting the "how to" video. I am partially blind and that helped me get it done in like 5 minutes. Definitely easy and I do agree rather nice considering the cost. i live in a nothern climate and have some 4 ml plastic to give it a bit more protection in the colder months. i'll use double sided velcro so it will be removable in the warmer months. This is a way for me to make sure the tender perennials survive over the winter I will be growing microgreens, miniature carrots, buttercrunch lettice and micro greens as well as baby pac choy along with spinach, chives and green onions indoors under growlights withthe rest of my cactus, succculents, orchids etc Any repairs to the greenhouse can be handled easily. Happy Gardening!]

  12. i am all about people growing their own food. i am compelled to bring to light the effect greenhouse coverings are causing. studies are showing fruits and vegetables grown in greenhouses have 4 to 5 fold LESS flavonols than those grown outside, the way God intended it to be. yes migardener you are helping to produce food for people, but this food is much much much less potent in vital nutrients that aid our healths defense against cancers and the such. i quote from the study "Consequently, growing plants in greenhouses, which blocks ultraviolet light, reduces the flavonol content in plants. Vegetables grown outdoors contained four- to five-fold more flavonols than those cultivated in greenhouses." – cannot post link to study, so search this on google – 'systematic study of the content of phytochemicals in fresh and fresh-cut vegetables'. flavonols act as ANTICANCER factors. so is there a correlation that skin cancers are going up as we grow more and more food in greenhouses? or is this just coincidence? IF the answer to eliminating cancer in society was to grow more of this potent food, what would happen to all the jobs in the cancer industry? i ask anyone reading this, which is more important: eliminating cancer which might eliminate millions of jobs, or keeping those millions of jobs?

  13. WE very much enjoy your vids. My wife & I have what they call mini greenhouse & also we have the Grow lights inside our home. Would it be possible to grow plants throughout the winter, like Lettuce, Spinach.?? Well don't seem like Migardener answers comments or questions!! Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP US HERE!!??

  14. Just bought one very similar for $22 at the Christmas Tree Shops in CT. Can't believe Luke had a video on how to put it together! I'm sure it will take me more than 10 minutes 🙂 but not as long as if I didn't see the video! I can't wait to grow herbs, winter lettuce, and other cold-hardy greens. Thanks, Luke!!!!
