Explore the world of identifying the diversity of snakes and amphibians in the garden and natural world surrounding us.
Learn the distinctive sounds, habits and habitats of these creatures in our southeastern woodlands and appreciate the roles they play in our healthy ecosystems. Carlton Burke reminds us that most snakes we encounter are harmless. He also encourages us to build vernal pools and ponds that support aquatic amphibian life to sustain year round populations that eat an abundance of mosquitoes and other insects, on the farm and in the garden.
This is great! Thank you!
I would call the snake "Lady". Might sound simple, but as it is female and very gentile, it is as if she knows how to behave when among people, so that matches the "title" 🙂
