Another morning person, frequently up between 4 and 5am, start work at 6. Love the bird calls! It sounded like they were saying they were going to visit your garden as soon as you are not looking 🙂

It is funny that they start singing while it is still dark they do it here to. I was up at five yesterday and there was a Robin singing his/her Heart out, very nice. On the topic of Epsom salts, I tried a one percent solution on five Peppers that were yellow as a foliar spray application. It is way to strong on small plants three to four inches, it dried out the leaves and they may not survive. I sprayed a six inch pepper and a Tomato plant and it did not seem to hurt them. So I think I will stick to applying it to the soil and watering it in and only using it on six inch or bigger plants in the soil from now on. I would say it was a fail at one percent solution , much to strong. Cheers, Kevin. Enjoyed your dawn chorus Lea.
